My Thoughts on WWE WrestleMania 41 (2025)

Hey guys, Chuck here. Well, after three months of waiting, after sitting through the insanity of the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber, we have finally arrived at WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were a lot of incredible match-ups over the course of the weekend, and I would very much like to get into them.

Well, we know from the events of Royal Rumble that both Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair would be participating in title matches at WrestleMania, and then we learned the same for John Cena and Bianca Belair during Elimination Chamber. And, in the weeks between Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, Jey Uso chose to take on Gunther, and Charlotte Flair chose to face Tiffany Stratton, which left John Cena to face Cody Rhodes, with Bianca Belair facing off against Iyo Sky for the Women's World Championship, and due to a slew of events across multiple weeks of Monday Night Raw, the match became a triple-threat title match which ALSO included Rhea Ripley.

Now, these were just a handful of the match-ups set for WrestleMania. Along with the four aforementioned matches, we also saw a massive triple-threat match between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk, Damian Priest facing Drew McIntyre in a Sin City Street Fight, Jade Cargill going one-on-one against Naomi, Rey Fenix (stepping in for an injured Rey Mysterio) going one-on-one against El Grande Americano, AJ Styles facing off against Logan Paul, LA Knight facing Jacob Fatu for the United States title, Bron Breakker defending the Intercontinental title in a Fatal 4-Way match against Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and Penta, the War Raiders defending the World Tag Team titles against the New Day, and Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defending the Women's Tag Team titles against Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch (who filled in for Bayley after she was attacked and rendered unable to compete in the match). Now, Randy Orton WAS supposed to face Kevin Owens. But, unfortunately, Owens was taken off the active roster due to a neck injury. So, instead Orton was set to be part of an Open Challenge, which would see him face TNA Champion Joe Hendry.

And, obviously, WrestleMania 41 took place over two days, with some matches on Night One, which was Saturday April 19th, while others were in Night Two, which was Sunday April 20th. So, let's get into the match line-up for both nights and see how things played out.

So, the results of Night One went as follows: Jey Uso defeated Gunther and won the World Heavyweight Championship via submission, the New Day defeated the War Raiders and won the World Tag Team titles, Jade Cargill defeated Naomi, Jacob Fatu defeated LA Knight and won the United States title, El Grande Americano defeated Rey Fenix, Tiffany Stratton defeated Charlotte Flair to retain the WWE Women's Championship, and, in a match that saw Paul Heyman completely betray BOTH Roman Reigns and CM Punk, Seth Rollins pulled off the victory over Reigns and Punk.

The results of Night Two went as follows: Iyo Sky defeated Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair to retain the Women's World Championship, Drew McIntyre defeated Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio defeated Finn Balor, Penta, and Brown Breaker to win the Intercontinental Championship, Randy Orton defeated Joe Hendry, Logan Paul defeated AJ Styles, Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria defeated Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the Women's Tag Team Championships, and John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship, making Cena a 17-time World Champion.

The commentary trio of Michael Cole, Pat McAfee, and Wade Barrett all did a phenomenal job calling every match throughout the weekend, and I gotta give them all some major props, with Pat McAfee easily being my favorite commentator. I also gotta give some shout-outs to Paul Levesque and Stephanie McMahon for kicking off each night of WrestleMania, and both Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin for revealing the attendance number for each night.

When it comes to my favorite matches, I absolutely loved seeing Jey Uso win the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther, I had a ton of fun seeing Iyo Sky manage to retain her title under triple-threat rules, I absolutely LOST MY MIND when Becky Lynch came in to team up with Lyra Valkyria, and was INSANELY happy the two became Tag Team champs. Wasn't too thrilled about the outcome of the Cena vs. Rhodes match, but I digress. Out of the two nights of WrestleMania, I think I prefer Night One over Night Two, but I loved seeing the return of Becky Lynch on Night Two.

Overall, another banger WrestleMania is in the books, and I eagerly await next year's WrestleMania in the Big Easy. That's right, friends. WrestleMania 42 will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2026, and I can't wait. But, when it comes to WWE events in 2025, I think we'll take a pause for now until it comes time for the biggest party of the summer: WWE SummerSlam

Alright guys , this is Chuck signing off, and I'll see you in the next review.
