My Thoughts on the 2022 Kid's Choice Awards

Hey guys, Chuck here. Well, this evening was the evening of the annual Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards, which this year was hosted by Miranda Cosgrove from iCarly and professional athlete Rob Gronkowski. There were tons of celebrities, tons of awards, great music performances, and of course tons of that green goop known as Nickelodeon slime. So, let's get into the fun of the 2022 Kid's Choice Awards.

Okay, so let's start with the movie awards, as this is a blog focused on movies. First off, congrats to both Tom Holland and Zendaya for winning Favorite Movie Actor and Actress, respectively, for their performances in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which took home the award for Favorite Movie. Yep, Spider-Man took home THREE orange blimps this year, and I couldn't be happier. Even more exciting than that, though, is the winner of Favorite Animated Movie: Encanto. Lastly, Scarlett Johansson took home the orange blimp for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie for her role in Sing 2. Cool.

Now, as far as the other awards go, congrats to Tim Hiddleston for winning Favorite Male TV Star (Family) for his role as the title character in Loki. Also, congrats to co-host Miranda Cosgrove taking home Favorite Female TV Star (Family) for her return performance as Carly Shay in the reboot of iCarly, which won Favorite TV Series (Family). Now, as far as the awards for Favorite Kids TV Show, Favorite Male TV Star (Kids) and Favorite Female TV Star (Kids), the winners were the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and actors Joshua Bassett and Olivia Rodrigo for their roles in the series. America's Got Talent won Favorite Reality Show, and SpongeBob won Favorite Cartoon.

Music-wise, the winners were BTS for Favorite Music Group, Ed Sheeran for Favorite Male Singer, Ariana Grande for Favorite Female Singer, "Happier Than Ever" from the album of the same name (which won Favorite Album) by Billie Eilish for Favorite Song, "Stay" by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber for Favorite Music Collaboration, Dixie D'Amelio for Favorite Social Music Star, and Adele for Favorite Global Music Star.

The last sets of awards were Tom Brady and Chloe Kim for Favorite Male and Female Sports Stars, MrBeast and Charli D'Amelio for Favorite Male and Female Creators, and finally Minecraft for Favorite Video Game.

There were two music performances: one by Jack Harlow, and the other by Kid Cudi. Both performances were terrific, but what was Kid Cudi doing with the pointed ears? I'm sorry, but that was too much, dude. Meanwhile, all of the presenters, including the likes of Ralph Macchio, Peyton List, Nikki and Brie Bella, Xavier Woods, and Josh Peck, were all terrific. Lastly, all of the sliming throughout the evening was a ton of fun. Overall, I had fun with this year's Kid's Choice Awards. Definitely a fun event, and Nickelodeon did not disappoint.

Alright guys, this is Chuck signing off, and I'll see you guys next time.
