Breakdown - Disney D23 2026 Announcements

        Hey guys, Chuck here. Well, Disney had quite a bit of announcements and confirmations this year at their D23 event, and I'm here to dig into them. 

        Okay, so, among the titles coming up from Disney, we're getting a third Princess Diaries, a new Simpsons Movie in 2027, new Pixar films like Gatto in 2027, Incredibles 3 in 2028, and Coco 2 in 2029. Speaking of which, Coco is confirmed to be included as a world in Disney and Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts IV, set for release in late 2027, and we're ALSO getting a Kingdom Hearts anime series coming to Disney Channel and Disney+. Lots to look forward to for Kingdom Hearts fans. Oh, and in 2027, we're getting The Bluey Movie, based on the beloved Australian children's series. And, we're officially getting a sequel to last year's live-action Lilo & Stitch in the summer of 2028. 

       On Marvel's side, we got a trailer for the Disney+ VisionQuest series, as well as a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. BUT, more exciting than that is confirmation of the MCU reboot of X-Men, which will hit theaters in May of 2028, with a cast that includes Inde Navarette as Rogue, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Maya Boyd as Storm, Christopher Abbott as Professor Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, along with the returning Sadie Sink as Jean Grey. On the Star Wars side, we got trailers for season two of Ahsoka and the 2027 film Star Wars: Starfighter. 

       Things wrapped up with the Disney Animation Studios presentation, which confirmed Zootopia 3, a new film called Clay with Kieran Culkin, and another look at this November's upcoming Hexed with Hailee Steinfeld. And, of course, we wrapped with a first look at Frozen 3, which hits theaters in November of 2027. 

      Okay, so, while this isn't ALL of the stuff revealed at the Honda Center in Anaheim, it's the stuff that I'm either excited or interested in. And, combine this X-Men announcement with the announcements of Black Panther III and Ghost Rider at Comic-Con last month, and I feel like my faith in Marvel Studios is steadily regrowing. And, it definitely looks like 2028 is gonna be massive for Disney.

Review - Song Sung Blue (2025)

       Hey guys, Chuck here. Song Sung Blue ,.which is based on a true story, is a new musical film released by Focus Features. Written and directed by Craig Brewer, this movie stars Hugh Jackman, Kate Hudson, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Michael Imperioli, Mustafa Shakir, and Jim Belushi.         The movie tells the story of Wisconsin musician Mike Sardina, who forms a close bond with fellow musician Claire Stingl, and how the two go on to become the front duo of a Neil Diamond tribute band known as Lightning and Thunder. And, of course, the movie follows the romance, marriage, and the many trials and tribulations that Mike and Claire go through over the years.         Now, I have to admit that I wasn't sure what to expect when watching this movie, but I will admit that I had a really fun time with it.         Hey guys, Chuck here. Well, it's the holiday season once again, which means it's time for some fun Christmas reviews.
