HallowScream - The Haunted House on Dunham Hill (2017)

        Hey guys, Chuck here. Well, you guys probably remember me talking about Jeff Dunham a couple of years ago during 12 Reviews of Christmas. And this year, for HallowScream, I would like to go back and talk about another fun project that Jeff Dunham worked on a few years ago. But, this isn't one of his comedy specials. No, this was a little Halloween short he produced for his YouTube channel, which featured fellow ventriloquist Darci Lynne. This is The Haunted House on Dunham Hill. 

       We start off on Halloween night, where Darci Lynne and her puppets Petunia, Oscar, and Edna are all out trick-or-treating, and they arrive at a house that the three puppets are too afraid to go up to. Darci, to prove that the stories about the house are just stories, goes up first and rings the bell, only for the door to be opened by Bubba J, who converses with Darci, and because Bubba J is just that stupid, he gives her a can of soup as opposed to candy. 

        Oscar heads up to the door next, and Peanut is there to answer. Unlike Bubba J, Peanut was really generous with the Halloween goodies he gave to Oscar, including peanut butter cups, peanut M&M's, circus peanuts, peanut brittle, and Nerds. Feeling a little more confident, a still-nervous Petunia heads up next, but this time Achmed answers the door, and after a long pause with Petunia still shaking with fear, Achmed shouts out, "Silence! I TREAT you!" Petunia screams for a minute and faints. 

        Darci, Oscar, and Edna show up, and despite Petunia's pleas for them to leave, Edna decides to get to the bottom of things, only for Walter to answer the door, asking the trick-or-treaters: "Who are you?" And when Edna starts hitting on Walter, he freaks out and falls on the floor. Jeff shows up to check on the commotion, and Darci recognizes him. After Petunia calms down and realized that Jeff isn't that scary, Walter has a laugh because Petunia called Jeff old. The short ends with Walter telling Jeff to shut the door, because he's "letting the air out." 

         Okay, so this short by Jeff Dunham is definitely a fun one for the Halloween season. It is definitely great to see Jeff and the main quartet with Bubba J, Walter, Achmed, and my personal favorite of Jeff's puppets: Peanut. I also have to give credit to Darci Lynne, who is among the youngest ventriloquists to have won America's Got Talent. While her puppets like Petunia and Oscar are definitely softer and more cute when compared to Jeff's characters like Peanut and Achmed, she definitely has real talent as a ventriloquist. And while I do wish that Peanut got to have a line or two, the way that Walter and Bubba J did (hell, Achmed at least got A sentence), it was still great to see him in this fun Halloween short. 

       I definitely enjoyed watching this one, and definitely recommend checking it out on Jeff's YouTube channel. I give The Haunted House on Dunham Hill a rating of 4.5/5. This is Chuck signing off, and I'll see you guys on Friday with Muppets' Haunted Mansion.

Review - Ocean's Eleven (2001)

       Hey guys, Chuck here. Back in the 1960's, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and the rest of the Rat Pack teamed up and made a movie called Ocean's 11 , which told the story of a military veteran named Danny Ocean, who teams up with his fellow squad members to rob a number of casinos in Las Vegas. It was definitely a product of the time, and is actually a really fun movie. Seeing Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and the Rat Pack on screen together is just genuinely fun.        In 2001, producer Jerry Weintraub and director Steven Soderbergh would bring together a fantastic cast to tell a more modern version of the Rat Pack classic, and that's the movie we're talking about today. Review - Night at the Museum (2006-2014)

          Hey guys, Chuck here, and after reviewing Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon, I needed something of a pallette cleanser.
